Focus

Simon Hillmann focuses on advising project developers and operators of photovoltaic plants and battery storage systems, electricity traders, aggregators as well as energy start-ups on all energy law and civil law issues. A particular focus is on the tailored drafting of contracts for the development of photovoltaic and battery storage projects, for the marketing of electricity from renewable energies, and for flexibilities in the electricity system (battery storage, demand side management). In addition, Simon Hillmann supports industrial companies and companies from the real estate sector in achieving their CO2 reduction targets. Another consulting focus is currently the price brake laws in the area of electricity and natural gas/heat.

Studies

Studied German and French law as part of the German-French Master of Laws programme at the Universities of Cologne and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (maîtrise en droit; LL. M. [Cologne/Paris I]) and in Berlin. Legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal. Both state law examinations with distinction.
