Focus

Lucas Link advises on all aspects of general and renewable energy law. He supports clients throughout project planning, as well as in the development and implementation of decentralized energy supply solutions, with a particular focus on contract drafting and negotiation. A further focus of his work lies in cross-border matters, especially in the field of European contract law. In addition, he provides guidance on regulatory requirements relating to critical infrastructure and cybersecurity - an area of growing importance in light of the ongoing digitalization of the energy sector.

Studies

Lucas studied law at the University of Freiburg and the Université Grenoble Alpes. He holds an LL.M. in European Private Law from the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He completed his legal clerkship with, among others, a renowned law firm specializing in public commercial law.

Professional Experience

Research assistant in the Scientific Service of the German Bundestag and advisor on tax and fiscal policy at the parliamentary group level. Lucas subsequently practiced as an attorney at a Berlin-based law firm specializing in energy, climate, and environmental law.
